The Job Responsibilities of Project Safety Officer are as follows;

1. Planning

Not required as such, but can be assigned on later stage as instructed by Safety Manager.

2. Co-Ordination

• Will only report and seek approval from Safety Manager
• Ensuring company EHS policy.
• Update daily record at site and submitted to office after 2    weeks.
• Ensure the implementation of relevant requirement with respect to scope of work.
• Conduct TBT jointly with site Engineer on regular basis, with respect to activity as per provided JSA.
• Carry out daily inspections and regular assessments and report near miss (if happened).
• Conduct weekly/monthly basis training to labor and engineer staff.
• Ensuring that all injuries, accident, incident/near miss and hazards are positively and timely reported & appropriate corrective actions and their closure.
• Will communicate and resolve safety problems of site, if not possible will communicate the same to Safety Manager in office,
• Conducting initial safety induction/orientation program.
• Conduct mock drills to handle any potential emergency with support of Safety Manager/Site Manager.
• Perform safety surveys on daily basis to assess unsafe act, unsafe condition & any potential hazard that may cause significant incident/accident.                                                                                                                     

3. Project Control

• Will maintain site safety data and will submit the same to Safety Manger in office.
• Will maintain record and assign site stock PPEs.
• Will maintain and keep record of different safety trainings for engineers/foreman/labors.
• Safety officer has authority to stop work at site, if SOPs are not being followed.
